What is Market Pirates Swing Trading?

Our swing trading lasts from a few days to several months and seeks to capture larger moves but also to minimize the draw-downs (extended losses). It is extremely rare for us to have no open positions at the end of the day. However, there are times when we are completely out of the market intra-day to avoid losses.

What service do we provide?

We send out a detailed email several times per week with our market view and trading plan. We do not have a conflict of interest in telling you to buy something that we aready own; you get the same shot at an entry that we do. We will not enter a new trade until at least 5 minutes after we send out our email.

We swing trade our own account, putting our money where our mouth is. Our swing trading experience goes back to 1999 but has only recently been made available to the general public.

We usually have between 4 and 18 open swing trading positions. Typically, at least 20% of our swing trading positions are closed each week.

While we trade our own money with our trading calls, we also track our trades and profit each week based on the model portfolio.

We jump into many swing trades, and then cut loose some of them within 48 hours. This "culling the herd" process keeps our losers small and our portfolio strong. We then let the good trades run.
